For me, the downloading and installation process worked flawless. The app does resemble GoogleMaps on the iPhone. It is rather intuitive to use. Still, at least some rudimentary instructions would be helpful.
Now the key test:
I asked for directions from my home to an address about a mile away. Two different routes were suggested, both perfectly accurate.
Next, I asked for directions from my home town to Rochester, NY. Thats about a 5 hour drive involving several different roads. The written driving instructions were correct, BUT THE ROUTE SHOWN ON THE MAP WAS AN ILLOGICAL ZIG-ZAG THROUGH NEW JERSEY THAT ENDED IN A STRAIGHT LINE OVER NON-EXISTING ROADS LEADING INTO THE GENERAL DIRECTION OF ROCHESTER. Basically, the map display was useless and extremely misleading.
For me, this is a fatal flaw!!! Nothing is worse than a map full of errors. I strongly recommend not to invest in this new app till the developers deliver a product that is actually reliable.
